Groom & Bride

Raphael Forrer

Raphi grew up in Austria, although his dad is from Switzerland and his mom from Germany. After some time in the Middle East he moved to the states to study theology. In 2015 he randomly ended up at a small Bible Camp in Wisconsin where he found himself visiting and re-visiting the camps craft shop. The young woman in charge of the shop had gotten his attention with her contagious joyfulness and as it turns out she would never lose it.

Ellianna Fitch

Through living in Wisconsin, British Columbia, and Ireland, Ell has been on the journey of gaining new “homes.” Never would she have thought that Austria would soon be on that list. After 5 years of post secondary education, Ell has graduated with a degree in Intercultural Studies and is about to marry an incredible man she met at Bible camp a few years back. What an adventure it’s been and what a time to look forward to 🙂

Austria & United States

A wedding is always the bringing together of two different traditions and families and – in our case – the bringing together of two different cultures. It might be hard to believe for our Austrian guests, but there is more to the US than Hollywood, and it might be hard to believe for our American guests, but there is more to Austria than Sound of Music 😉
So, click on the button below if you want to learn more about our respective wedding traditions.

Registry

We are excited that people will come and fly in from all parts of the world for our big day. So the biggest gift for us is your presence. However, if you want to go above and beyond and still give us a gift, we have a plan ready for you:

Since we plan to move to Austria after our wedding, we thought it might be difficult for us to pack bigger things (such as a new set of kitchen knives, a dog, or a new car) into our luggage. For this reason, we are kindly asking for only monetary gifts…with a little twist. In order to make this whole process a little more fun, don’t close your envelope just yet.

At the wedding site, you will find a table with little cards labeled with different categories. Each of these categories represents something that we would love to buy once we get to Austria. Once you pick whatever category you’d love to give towards, take that particular card from the line, place it in the envelope with the monetary gift, seal the envelope, and place the envelope at the table.

This way you have an opportunity to give towards something more specific.
Either way, thanks for being a part of this big day!
